Lower Ninth Ward Living Museum is a must for any visitor to understand the effects of the 'Storm' as it is called here in New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina devastated the Lower Ninth Ward, and this area is one of the often forgotten areas of the city.
One can take the St Claude Bus Line 88 (
Bus schedules) or an Uber/Lyft to get here. And it is well worth the trip. The museum is always free, and tells the incredible story of the effects of Katrina, in addition to the history of the neighborhood.
